The death of Mrs. Lillie Hancock occurred Monday, May 18 at her residence, 150 Celina Street (Oshawa). Death was sudden and she was in her 84th year.
She was the former Miss Lillie Hislop, and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hislop. Born in Whitby Township, she lived in Oshawa for 55 years and in Brooklin before that.
Mrs. Hancock married the late Herbert John Hancock who predeceased her June 22, 1959. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church and the United Church Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. W. Peterson (Marjorie) Oshawa and Miss Dorothy Hancock, Toronto.
Rev. J. K. Moffatt, minister of Simcoe Street United Church, will conduct the memorial service at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Thursday, May 21 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in Oshawa Union Cemetery.
